WHITE TWP., NJ [February 28, 2006] – The Warren County Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold a "groundbreaking" ceremony to mark the start of restoration of the former Warren County Home, which most recently was used as the JINS (Juveniles in Need of Supervision) shelter. This historic building that dates from the 1700s and was purchased by the county in 1830 - only five years after Warren County came into being - is being rehabilitated into office space. |

The ceremony will take place on Thursday, March 9, at 3 p.m., at the facility, located near the entrance to the Warren Haven nursing home on Oxford Road (County Route 625) in Mansfield Township, near Oxford.
This property has a long history, having served as the county "poor farm" for many years. Additional information about the building, the project and the ceremony will be available next week. This message is being sent as an advisory so you can plan your news assignments accordingly. |
